The advantages of CVT design
Today, Tractor CVT design is more commonly used as this transmission type offers a number of advantages:
- Compact and robust design
- No clutch wear and no gear change
- Uninterrupted wheel torque
- High starting torque.
A tractor CVT design differs significantly compared to conventional tractor step transmission with fixed gear ratios. Key components of a Tractor CVT are a planetary gear set connected to a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor. By varying the hydraulic flow between the pump and motor, the gear ratio changes step less.
High performance fluid
The key performance in Tractor CVT Fluids is viscosity retention and anti-wear. Q8 T 2300 CVT 15W-40 performance credentials cover a wide variety of OEMs (see overview below). Q8Oils delivers a Top Tier CVT Fluid offering class leading viscosity retention. It can be used in most modern Tractor CVT designs as well as in older step-type Tractor Transmissions as alternative to a classical 15W-40 UTTO.
