Petroleum Economist, an independent publisher who analyses the energy market since 1934, hosted its annual award ceremony on 21 November in London. Q8Oils was awarded the “Project of the Year” award!

Product Applications LUBricants, the technical support department of Q8Oils, has some important announcements to make. Not only has Joris van der List taken over from the recently retired PALUB manager Cees Sonneveldt, but also a new specialist recently joined the team in order to enhance our expert support.

Q8Oils blending plant in Antwerp is a site with a long and rich history, dating back to 1891. Over the last years the plant underwent a 100 million dollar renovation, transforming it into one of the largest and most technically advanced lubricant production facilities in Europe. With additional expansion possibilities, the Antwerp blending plant is set for the future.

Q8Oils is part of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation: one of the largest oil processing companies in the world.

We recently spoke with Cees Sonneveldt: manager of Palub, the Technical Department of Q8Oils. He has been working for Q8Oils for 37 years – so we can call him an expert in the sector without hesitation.

Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) announced that its affiliate, Q8Oils, has officially opened its blending plant in Antwerp, Belgium.

Lubricants are not just oils for car engines; there are many different types including metalworking fluids, transformer oils, gear and hydraulic oils. Fluid oils and greases, both solid and semi solid, are also used for lubrication.
