New distributor for gas engine oils
As of 1st of March, BayWa AG has become an official sales partner of Q8Oils. In addition to its own TECTROL brand, BayWa is now also distributing two manufacturer oils from Q8Oils. This is the company’s response to changing market requirements and opens additional opportunities in sales.
The BayWa Group develops innovative and sustainable solutions for the basic needs of food, housing, heat, electricity, and mobility. Founded in 1923, the parent company is headquartered in Munich. The company’s history began with the co-operative agricultural trade: BayWa supplied rural areas with everything that agriculture needed. Today, it is active in over 40 countries in the fields of agriculture, construction, and energy. The cooperative roots still characterize the company’s self-concept today.
With the new partnership, BayWa extends its lubricant portfolio in the field of gas engine oils to include two additional manufacturer products: Q8 Mahler G5 and Jenbacher S Oil 40. The two products complement the existing TECTROL own-brand range.
Q8 Mahler G5 and Jenbacher[1] S-Oil 40: high-performance oils for gas engines
Jenbacher S Oil 40 is particularly suitable for customers with Jenbacher engines of types 2, 3, 4 and 6 that run on various types of bioenergy gases such as biogas, sewage gas, landfill, or wood gas. By using the Jenbacher S Oil 40 specially developed between Q8Oils and INNIO[2] Group, oil change intervals can potentially be extended by up to 80%, significantly reducing life cycle costs for plant operators.
With the Q8 Mahler G5, a new high-performance gas engine oil based on Group II premium base oils is being added to the BayWa portfolio. It is characterized by its excellent oxidation resistance and low ash deposits and guarantees clean engines and extended oil change intervals. The product comes from Q8Oils’ “Clean Technology Programme” and is particularly suitable for stationary four-stroke gas engines with low-fuel, stoichiometric combustion.
